As I was looking for a new razor, I found this razor, which is the one I currently use, so here’s my review.
Overall, it was a great shaver for a college student with very thick facial hair. I just needed to learn how to use it and it was fine. For older men with thick beards and more money, I’d look into a better one.
I’ve had this razor for so long I don’t know when I got it…must be about 6 years. What forced me to get a new razor was that the part you can click to push up the razor to cut longer hairs just wouldn’t stay down. Too much hair got clogged. I went to take it out and I can’t get it back together. The two wires that push it up and down won’t go back in their tiny slots. So if that part won’t shut all the way, I don’t recommend trying to fix it yourself by taking it apart.
Wiping off all hair before pushing the extended part down helps to keep it working. I like that feature because I should shave twice a day to keep up 100% with my facial hair, but I don’t, so I can use the extension part and it cuts longer hairs very well. If I don’t shave for more than 3 days and it’s softer than the prickles, the normal shaver won’t shave it all, but the extension cuts it nicely.
I also had to replace the micro screens about every six months. I finally figured out that you can keep part of it and use sections when you buy more, and that saved this college student a lot of $$.
After 6 years, I can still get about 5-7 shaves in in a charge. That battery seems to last a long time.
My TIPS:
1. Use the brush and blow off excess hair after each use.
2. NEVER rinse with water. It will rust it and ruin it. I never did that and I have no clue why they advertise you can.
3. Keep the good sections of the micro screens and it will save you money when you replace them. They cost about , but using each screen until it is worn out will save cost on replacement.

I just love this shaver. I had a similar one, an MS3-2000, for many years and loved it. I was going to buy my first set of replacement blades for it (The motor is still fine.), but I saw that this new shaver was only about (including shipping) and the replacement blades were . For might as well have a new shaver.
It has the trimmer placed on the edge of the foils at the same level. This cuts the long hairs, and if that doesn’t work, the trimmer is right there. Plus, Remington shavers have big motors. I had another shaver, a more expensive one, and it took forever to shave. This one is like having a power lawn mower compared to a push powered one.
